Touch Grass: Tiny Garden / Privacy

Your garden.

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The short version

Touch Grass works offline, requires no account, and does not send your garden or app activity to the developer. Your saved garden stays on your Mac. If you contact support, you choose what to share.

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes the macOS app Touch Grass: Tiny Garden, also called Touch Grass, developed by Reinier Hernández. It covers the app and support communications about it. Visiting this website is covered separately in the website section below.

2. Data stored on your Mac

The app saves your Grass Points, flower arrangements, garden appearance, sound and motion preferences, onboarding choices, and settings window preferences locally. These files allow you to return to the same garden after closing the app.

This data is not uploaded to a developer-operated server or synced between Macs by the app. Your own device backups may include it, depending on your backup settings.

3. No in-app tracking

Touch Grass does not include advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not require an account or collect your browsing activity, contacts, location, camera, or microphone data.

Mouse and trackpad input is used to interact with the garden. The app does not upload that input or monitor what you type in other apps. Ambient sounds are generated locally.

4. Optional break reminders

Focus Breaks are optional. If you enable them and grant permission, macOS displays local notifications while Touch Grass is running. This does not require a notification server or an account. You can disable reminders in the app or manage permission in macOS System Settings.

5. Information you send to support

If you email me@reinierhernandez.com, I receive your email address, your message, and any details or attachments you choose to send. “Copy App Info” copies the app version, build number, and macOS version to your clipboard; it does not send them automatically.

I use support correspondence to answer your request, investigate problems, and maintain the app. Email providers process messages to deliver and store them. Support information is not sold or used for advertising. It is retained only as long as needed to handle support and related maintenance or legal obligations.

You can contact me to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention requirements.

6. Apple services and beta testing

Apple handles App Store distribution and TestFlight. Depending on your settings and how you use those services, Apple may provide the developer with crash diagnostics, beta feedback, screenshots, or other testing information. These services are governed by Apple’s privacy policies and your choices in Apple’s services.

7. This website and external links

Opening a support or privacy link takes you to this website in your browser. The website uses its own hosting and may use Google Tag Manager and analytics, as described in the website privacy policy. Website analytics are separate from the macOS app; the app does not send your garden data to them.

8. Your local data and choices

You control the garden files on your Mac. Removing the app may leave local saved files behind. If you would like help locating or deleting them, email support. The developer cannot access or restore a local garden unless you choose to share the relevant files.

9. Changes and contact

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated with a new revision date. For questions about this policy, contact Reinier Hernández at me@reinierhernandez.com.
